Kafta is an Arabic cuisine which was established in Lebanon and is now enjoyed throughout the middle east and all around the world.

Abu Ahmad Butchery was established in 1994 by our father Jamal Fettayleh who's special recipe for Kafta has remained in the family and is now proudly produced by his sons Ahmad and Mohamad Fettayleh who have taken over the family business from there dad and are proudly growing the business and spreading the good taste of there fathers delicious kafta.

As well as Abu Ahmad Butchery the sons have now branched out into the smallgoods market establishing a new company trading as Fettayleh smallgoods.

Fettayleh smallgoods is currently providing a range of smallgoods to Hotels, Restaurants, Take away shops and international airlines.

How to Cook Kafta

Kafta can be cooked in a two ways:

Hot Plate - Apply the kafta on a hot plate either with the skewers or the skewers can be removed and cooked as you would a sausage.

Traditional - The traditional method to cook kafta is using heatbeads and a bbq. To set this up you will need a bbq, heatbeads, jiffy lighters, and a metal rack.

Light the heat beads using the jiffy lighters and when ready spread them through the bbq. Place metal rack ontop of the barbecue and wait a few minutes before placing anything on the rack, this will let the rack warm up and avoid any meat sticking to the metal.

Once the rack is warm place the kafta side by side and leave to cook, flip kafta over when you see the meat has cooked to your taste.
